SINGAPORE, March 24 ― The National Museum of Singapore is to hold a month-long memorial exhibition as a tribute to Singapore's first prime minister and founding father Lee Kuan Yew who died yesterday.
The 'In Memoriam: Lee Kuan Yew' exhibition will be held from March 25 to April 26 at the Glass Atrium on the second level of the museum, said a joint statement of the National Heritage Board and National Museum of Singapore.
It will be open daily, from 10am to 8pm, and admission is free.
The exhibition chronicles the life and political career of Kuan Yew and highlights the ideals and convictions that shaped him and his generation of leaders, the statement said.
It would enable visitors to remember and reflect on the solid foundation that Kuan Yew built for Singapore, it added.
Kuan Yew died early Monday morning at the Singapore General Hospital where he had been admitted on February 5 for severe pneumonia. He was 91. ― Bernama
