SHANGHAI, Nov 9 — Xiaomi has announced the launch of its new Mi Band 1S, the Chinese company’s second generation wearable fitness tracker, reports Gadgets 360.

While the company first unveiled the Mi Band in China last year, the 1S version — also referred to as the Mi Band Pulse — has gotten such upgrades as an optical heart-rate sensor and design changes.

The new Mi Band is slightly larger than its original version and weighs half a gram more. It is dust and water-resistant, and boasts a 30-day battery life on a single charge.

The Mi Band Pulse is currently only available in China, with no word on its international launch. It will retail for CNY 99, or US$16 (RM70.15). — AFP-Relaxnews
