SINGAPORE, Nov 9 — Two men will face murder charges with common intention over the death of a 56-year-old man who died in hospital on Saturday following a fight, according to Channel News Asia (CNA).
The men, aged 58 and 59, who know each other, are scheduled to be charged in court on Sunday.
Another 36-year-old man, a friend of the victim who was allegedly involved in the altercation, has been arrested for fighting in a public space and is assisting with investigations, CNA reported.
Police were called to Block 51 Chin Swee Road at about 3.10am on Saturday, where they found the 56-year-old lying injured outside his unit. He was taken unconscious to hospital, where he later died.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that four men were involved in a fight that arose from a dispute. During the fight, one of the men allegedly stabbed the 56-year-old man,” police said, adding that two knives were recovered and seized.
The 59-year-old man was also arrested for drug-related offences, which will be referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau, CNA reported.
