KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 — Comedian Ebby Yus maintains a positive outlook in life despite facing a host of health issues.

The 57-year-old told Astro Awani that having health problems were not a hindrance for him to be continuously cheerful.

Ebby, or his real name Muhammad Yunus Abdul Rashid, said doctors had told him he might need to undergo dialysis if his kidneys continue to deteriorate.

To make matters worse, his heart capacity is only 27 per cent besides suffering from nerve problems and prostate issues.

Ebby, who was also recently admitted into Hospital Kuala Lumpur's intensive care unit for a week after suffering from shortness of breath, said doctors had to remove water from his lungs.

Despite his health issues, Ebby still continues to receive acting jobs.

“I have accepted comedy roles but the filming is confined in studios due to my health problems,” he said.

“There is much wisdom to what has happened hence it is better for us to maintain our cheerfulness and always be positive.”
