KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 4 — Actor, TV host and musician Qi Razali of popular 90’s local alternative rock band OAG has called it a day after being part of the band for three decades.

The 45-year-old drummer announced his decision via a tweet on the eve of the band's Christmas Day concert before elaborating further on Monday, January 2.

In the follow-up tweet to explain his decision, Qi, or his real name Qushairi Mohammed Razali, shared that he made the decision due to other choices in life.

“The band will still be there, don't worry. The band's strength is not the drummer. So just replace it with anyone.”

“My choice is for my own good. If you all support my career, support my move this time,” he wrote.

Qi had posted cryptic tweets that had fans speculating all was not well in the band.

In a tweet, Qi likened himself to being a toilet paper while in another he said "use me as long as I'm alive".

Saying he has the right to live this own life, Qi said he chose the way he wants to live it.

Putting an end to the topic, Qi vowed he would not allow anyone to step on him anymore.

“This year I place more importance on myself. Bye bye toxic people.”
