KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 — The dancer for Hong Kong Cantopop boyband Mirror, Mo Li, who suffered horrific injuries during the band’s July 28 concert last year, is now able to communicate with the help of Siri.
In an update, Li’s father Pastor Derek said although his son is still hospitalised, his condition is stable, hk01 reported.
“Our hope for 2023 is to see Kai Yin (Mo’s real name) able to stand up and witness God’s healing power,” he said.
Derek shared that medical personnel change Mo’s sleeping position twice every night to prevent bedsores.
Doctors treating the dancer-choreographer had previously told his parents that their son’s prognosis remained poor and he is likely to be paralysed from the neck down.
Five people had since been arrested on suspicion of fraud and a charge of allowing a giant video screen to fall, AFP previously reported.
A government task force set up to investigate the incident had said that a substandard cable was used and that the screen’s weight was underreported.
