LOS ANGELES, Nov 30 — This new featurette for Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water gives an extended behind-the-scenes look at the film.

The film centres on mute janitor Elisa (played by Sally Hawkins) who is trapped in a life of silence and isolation at the mysterious high security government lab she works at. However, Elisa’s life goes beyond routine when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment.

The film also stars Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Doug Jones.

The synopsis of the film reads: “An other-worldly fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1962. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Hawkins) is trapped in a life of isolation. Elisa's life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment.”

The Shape of Water is set for release on January 18, 2018.
