NEW YORK, March 28 — Madonna is now the highest-grossing solo tour artist in Billboard Boxscore history.

Her Rebel Heart World Tour, which wrapped in Sydney yesterday, has reportedly netted the Queen of Pop a tidy US$169.8 million (RM682.2 million) from a total 1,045,479 tickets sold, according to Billboard’s calculations.

This makes her the highest grossing solo tour artist, with a total US$1.31 billion earned in tours since 1990’s Blonde Ambition World Tour.

The only acts that top Madonna in Boxscore earnings are The Rolling Stones and U2, with US$1.84 billion and US$1.67 billion respectively.

Madonna is also the only woman to have ever topped the US$1 billion mark in overall concert grosses since 1990, Billboard added, and has held the title of highest-grossing female touring artist for over a decade.
