LONDON, March 8 — British actor Jude Law is to join compatriot Jason Statham in spy caper “Susan Cooper,” alongside leading lady Melissa McCarthy and Australian actress Rose Byrne.
The Oscar nominee is close to concluding negotiations with 20th Century Fox, reports TheWrap.
The movie was written by producer and director Paul Feig, who is known for 2011 smash “Bridesmaids” and had an uncredited cameo in “The Heat,” a 2013 action comedy which co-starred McCarthy alongside Sandra Bullock.
Double Oscar nominee Law has most recently appeared in “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Dom Hemingway”; future projects include submarine treasure hunt “Black Sea” and an anticipated third entry to the “Sherlock Holmes” series. — AFP-Relaxnews
