KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 — Zakri Mohd Khir has been named chief executive officer (CEO) of Allianz Malaysia Bhd and country manager for Allianz in Malaysia.
This is in addition to his position as CEO of Allianz General Insurance Company Malaysia Bhd since 2010.
He will assume the additional responsibilities as of August 1.
Allianz Malaysia is the holding company for the Life and Property & Casualty insurance business.
The appointments come after the decision by Jens Reisch, CEO of Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd and Allianz Malaysia, to leave the company on July 31 to pursue career opportunities outside of the company and country.
A new CEO, taking over the responsibility of Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia, will be announced soon.
