KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 — Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has publicly reprimanded, fined and ordered to strike off Ng Kok Kiong, a commissioned dealer's representative, for engaging in manipulative dealing activities in the securities of Metech Group Bhd.
The stock exchange operator said Ng contravened several regulatory provisions.
In a statement today, it said Ng had engaged in manipulative trading activities over a period of several months in 15 clients' accounts including his parents' accounts.
"Bursa Malaysia Securities will not tolerate any acts or practices which could lead to false trading, manipulative activities or compromise the integrity of the market.
The stock exchange operator also said it would take appropriate action against anyone who engaged in such misconduct, including striking off a registered person from the register or impose a fine commensurate with the severity of the breach. — Bernama
