IPOH, July 29 — A man and two women were killed after the car they were in lost control and crashed into a north-bound express bus at Km308.8 at the North-South Expressway here, today.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department here said two other passengers in the Toyota Vios escaped with only slight injuries, while the 16 bus passengers were unhurt and continued their journey to Alor Setar.
He said in a statement that the department received a call at 9.40 am and personnel from the Tapah Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene, near the Gopeng exit.
“Upon arrival, they found the bodies of three victims flung on the highway. They were confirmed dead.
“The firefighters then cleaned up the accident site to make sure no objects and debris were left behind,” he said adding that the exercise ended at 11.50am. — Bernama
