KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has been summoned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to record her statement this Tuesday.
Rosmah’s lawyer Datuk Geethan Ram Vincent confirmed to Malay Mail that the wife of Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been called to help the investigation, but was not informed whether it was in relation to 1Malaysia Development Bhd-linked (1MDB) SRC International Sdn Bhd.
“We received the notice today, and Datin Seri will be present at the MACC headquarters at 11am to have her statement recorded,” Geethan said when contacted.
“The investigation, or rather statement taking, was in relation to which investigation, my client has not been informed.”
Najib had his statement recorded last week.
The former prime minister had his statement taken in a five-hour session on Tuesday, followed by another six-hour session on Thursday.
He later declared that MACC has completed its inquiry with him.
Rosmah has kept a fairly low profile ever since the police raids on several properties linked to the couple, but her car was seen leaving the family residence in Taman Duta tonight.
