KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 — Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has left his Langgak Duta mansion here for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya.
This is the second time Najib is going to the MACC headquarters to be questioned over a corruption probe linked to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB)
Najib’s personal vehicle, a white Toyota Vellfire luxury MPV, was seen leaving the premises at 9.22am accompanied by police escort and three other vehicles.
The entourage is believed to include his new legal team led by former Solicitor-General II Datuk Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden.
His previous lawyers said they withdrew from representing him just hours before he was due to be questioned by MACC on Tuesday/
Najib had then been questioned for five hours by the MACC over the transfer of RM 42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd, a former subsidiary of 1MDB, into his personal account.
The former Umno president is expected to make more appearances at MACC to help in the investigations.
