KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 ― Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is required to be present for the second time at the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am tomorrow to facilitate investigations into the SRC International Sdn Bhd case.
MACC deputy chief commissioner (Operation) Datuk Seri Azam Baki, when contacted by Bernama, said Najib, who is also Pekan MP needed to record his statement on the matter.
Yesterday Najib was present for the first time at the MACC headquarters to give his statement on the issue.
SRC International is a subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), until it was placed under the Finance Ministry in 2012.
The Prime Minister’s Office, in a statement on Monday, announced the setting up of the 1MDB Investigation Task Force to conduct a detailed investigation, asset tracing and acquisition as well as prosecution of individuals who had committed offences relating to the management of 1MDB. ― Bernama
