KOTA KINABALU, May 11 — Two assemblymen from Barisan Nasional (BN) arrived at the Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal’s residence at Golfview Bukit Padang, here.
Sebatik assemblyman Datuk Abdul Muis Picho and Tanjong Batu assemblywoman Datuk Hamisah Samat arrived at 12.15pm and were seen heading straight through the backyard compound.
It is believed that the duo would be having a meeting with Shafie.
At 2.15pm, Hamisah and Abdul Muis left the residence without talking to the media.
Rumours are rife that they will be seeking an audience with the Head of State to pledge their allegiance soon.
If Shafie manages to get two assemblymen to swing to his party, he will have the majority.
But sources told Malay Mail that three Upko assemblyman — Kadamaian’s Ewon Benedick, Paginatan’s Datuk Abidin Madingkir and Nabawan’s Datuk Bobby Suan have pledged their support for Warisan, bringing their total number of seats to 33, more than a simple majority.
But if BN has sworn in their six nominated assemblyman, they will have a bigger majority.
Yesterday, Tan Sri Musa Aman was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of Sabah for the fourth term.
