GEORGE TOWN, April 25 — Penang Pakatan Harapan (PH) aims to win the five state and three parliamentary seats currently held by Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming election, Lim Guan Eng said.
The Penang PH chairman said the coalition will also work hard to defend its 30 state and 10 parliamentary seats in the state.
He said Penang BN is targeting PH’s eight vulnerable state seats.
“They thought they can ‘makan’ these seats so we will target five of their state seats and three parliamentary seats here,” he said at the launch of the Penang PH manifesto at the Penang Chinese Town Hall tonight.
Lim told all PH candidates that they have to remain careful as there is no such thing as a “sure win”.
“There is no sure win, there is only hard work so we must not take it for granted that we will win,” he said.
He said the eight state seats that BN is targeting may be vulnerable.
“We must be committed to win and we will win BN’s seats too,” he said.
PH previously held 30 state and 10 parliamentary seats, while BN held 10 state and three parliamentary seats in Penang.
