GUA MUSANG, April 18 — The Wildlife and National Parks Department (Wildlife) has set up a trap as in an effort to catch a Clouded Leopard, following reports of its sighting near the Gua Musang Hospital quarters here since last Monday.

Kelantan Wildlife director Mohd Hasdi Husin, when contacted today, said the trap was set up yesterday and that patrol would also be carried out by Wildlife personnel to ensure the safety of residents at the quarters and the surrounding areas.

He also advised residents to avoid outdoor activities for their own safety.

The department, however, has yet to ascertain whether the leopard was a female or male, or its age, as the image of the animal that was viralled on the social media was not clear. — Bernama
