KUANTAN, Jan 10 — The police detained three estate workers in connection with the seizure of 38.86g of heroin at a house in Muadzam Shah, Rompin near here today.
The suspects aged between 27 and 42 were picked up in a raid about 6.30am at Felda Keratong 9.
Rompin police chief DSP Azli Mohd Noor said checks at the master bedroom of the house led to the seizure of 12 plastic packets containing the drug worth about RM1,200.
“Initial investigations revealed that the drug was obtained from that Felda scheme,” he told reporters here.
The suspects who tested positive for heroin and had drug-related criminal records have been remanded for seven days to facilitate investigations under Section 39B and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — Bernama
