KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 5 — Pet lovers will have the chance to see more than 200 cats and 300 other animals at the Pet Lovers Fiesta 2018 to be held from Feb 3 to 18 at the Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex here.
Malaysian Cat Club president Khalid Rashid said the festival, to be organised with the cooperation of the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation, aimed to educate and create awareness among the public regarding pets.
“The fiesta has a family-friendly concept where people can see cat shows, participate in cat competitions, cat fashion shows and cat-fashioned batik shows, craft exhibition and sale, a mini zoo and a petting zoo,” he said at a press conference yesterday.
Khalid said the fiesta would also feature animals such as rabbits, tortoises and birds, as well as a collection of 5,000 cat-related artifacts through a special gallery set up by Kraftangan Malaysia. — Bernama
