KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said no Malaysians were among victims of a terrorist attack in Istanbul yesterday which killed several people, including policemen and injured scores of civilians. 

A ministry statement today said the Malaysian Embassy in Ankara will keep in touch with Turkish authorities and Malaysians, especially students in Istanbul. 

“The Malaysian government strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Istanbul on June 7.

We express sympathy and condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Turkey and the families of victims of the attack,” said the statement.

The ministry reminded Malaysians residing or visiting Istanbul to always put safety first and be wary of their surroundings, said the statement. — Bernama
