KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 — Kuala Lumpur motorists can rejoice come February as the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) announced today discounts for car and motorcycle summons.

The discounts, which could go up to RM250, will run throughout the month of February in conjunction with Federal Territory Day which falls on February 1.

Car and motorcycle summonses, which originally cost between RM100 to RM300, will be slashed to a flat rate of RM50 and RM30 respectively.

“This is the time to settle it after this it’s going to be RM100 or RM150 so settle it all now,” Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Mhd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz said during a press conference at DBKL today.

In line with Federal Territories day, public toilets and recreational sports facilities in the city will also be available for use for free throughout the month of February.
