Schoolgirl loses both legs in hit-and-run accident

SABAK BERNAM, Jan 18 — A Form One girl lost both her legs after being ran over by a lorry in a hit-and-run accident at Parit 16, Sungai Panjang here today.

Sabak Bernam police chief Supt Nor Azmi Isa said the girl, Siti Nuraisyah Sahrin, and her stepsister, Shamin Amirah Roslan, 14, were on a motorcycle heading home when the mishap occurred at 3pm.

“A Perodua Kancil car was believed to have overtaken them and rubbed against their machine, causing them to be thrown onto the road.
