KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 — A worker at a cybercafe in Taman Bukit Serdang was stabbed in the neck tonight for allegedly hogging a computer console there during a game of DoTA.

The victim is currently warded at the Serdang Hospital and his condition is stable while the suspect and his friend have been arrested, The Star Online reported.

The incident is believed to have started about 10pm when the suspect demanded the victim relinquish use of a computer console in the cybercafe, but was snubbed, which started a “war of words”.

The suspect left but returned shortly with a friend carrying a bag containing a parang and a plank and attacked the cybercafe worker, the news portal reported Serdang police chief Assistant Commissioner Razimi Ahmad as saying.

The management broke up the fight inside the cybercafe, but the trio continued clashing once outside, according to the news reports that cited unnamed witnesses.

Four other people came to the worker’s defence and subdued the alleged attackers, injuring them in the process.

Razimi was reported saying the two suspects will be held overnight.
