SHAH ALAM, Oct 8 — A man was found unconscious with severe head and body injuries at a road-shoulder near a restaurant in Section 34, Bukit Kemuning here last Saturday. Shah Alam police chief, ACP Shafien Mamat said passers-by stumbled on the victim, in his 20s, about 1am before alerting the police.
He said the unidentified man had sustained injuries in an attack and was warded in a stable condition at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.
Speaking to reporters after attending a handing-over ceremony involving new police patrol cars here today, Shafien said closed-circuit television camera recording at the restaurant’s compound showed the victim was assaulted by three men armed with iron rods.
The assailants escaped in a white van, he said, adding that the police seized a Honda EX5 motorcycle registered to a woman, at the scene of the attack.
Earlier, Shafien handed over 17 new Proton Inspira cars to the Shah Alam police patrol unit to beef up the unit, especially in crime prevention. — Bernama
