KUANTAN, March 20 — Some areas around Kuantan will experience water supply disruption following the installation works of control valves and Non Revenue Water (NRW) flow meters at the Semambu Water Treatment Plant by Pahang Water Management Berhad (Paip).
According to its Public Relations/Corporate Communications officer Nurul Farhana Abdul Hamid, the works involved would begin from 8am on March 25 (Wednesday) and is expected to end at 8am on March 26 (Thursday).
"The interruption of water supply will affect the entire Beserah area until the border of Chendor and the entire Indera Mahkota 1-6 residential area, all of the left side.
"Besides that, other areas involved are the right side of Jalan Sungai Lembing, Jalan Gambang from Medan Warisan to Kampung Sri Fajar and the Batu 6 junction on Jalan Pekan until Kampung Ubai," she said in a statement here today.
The water supply disruption will involve 29,500 consumer accounts. — Bernama
