KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 ― A Malaysian cartoonist today claimed that police confiscated copies of his books after failing to arrest him at his office.

Zulkiflee SM Anwar Ulhaque, or Zunar as he is popularly known, claimed that six police officers lead by one Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lim Ah Heng had raided his office to haul him in.

“According to them, I am being investigated under Section 2 in Printing Press and Publications Act, Section 4 (1) under Sedition Act and Section 500 under Penal Code,” he said in a statement.

Zunar, who is currently in London, said the police confiscated Malay and English versions of his books “Conspiracy to jail Anwar” and “Pirate of The Carry BN”, and has been informed that he will be summoned by the police when he returns to Malaysia.
