SANDAKAN, Dec 19 ― Three workers were killed in Malaysia yesterday (December 18) after a powerful explosion caused part of a noodle processing factory roof to cave in.
A boiler in the wooden factory exploded, causing part of the roof structure to collapse.
Authorities were alerted to the explosion at around 1.13pm, according to the Borneo Post. Two fire engines, two utility vehicles and 14 firefighters were dispatched to the factory.
The three workers, two Indonesians and one Filipino, were pronounced dead at the scene. ― Reuters
