ALOR STAR, Aug 21 — Two farmers who were clearing their farm were shocked to find the remains of a baby in a school bag at Kampung Genting Palas, Kuala Nerang near here at about 6pm, yesterday.

Padang Terap acting police chief, ASP Chang Kut Choy said the remains, believed to be that of a newborn baby, were found by the farmers while clearing the area.

“The farmers who had started clearing the farm at about 4pm stumbled upon the school bag and found a baby’s skeleton. Also recovered from the bag was a school uniform,” he said when contacted by Bernama here today.

He said the man later informed the land owner of the discovery in the bag before they lodged a police report at the Padang Terap police headquarters.
