KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 — The number of vehicles returning to the federal capital from the ‘balik kampung exodus’ is expected to increase at about 2pm today.
A spokesman at the PLUS Expressway Traffic Control Centre said so far, only two areas reported an increase in the number of vehicles, namely Bukit Gantang heading to Kuala Kangsar, Perak and from Nilai heading to Seremban.
“We expect the number of vehicles to increase after Friday prayers,” he said when contacted by Bernama.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Highway Authority spokesman said traffic was slow moving at the Sultan Iskandar Building from Malaysia to Singapore since morning.
