ALOR STAR, July 14 — A man is being remanded for four days from today to help in the investigation into a threat issued against Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and the private secretary to the Sultan of Kedah, Datuk Syed Unan Mashri Syed Abdullah, said Kedah CID chief ACP Mohd Nashir Ya.
He said the 39-year-old man from Jalan Tambang Badak, Alor Star, was held in Shah Alam, Selangor at 5.45 pm yesterday.
The arrest came after more than 20 police reports were lodged against the man over the threat he had issued on his Facebook page.
Mohd Nashir said the man was brought to the Alor Star Magistrate’s Court at about 10 am today to be remanded. — Bernama
