KOTA KINABALU, Nov 10 — The police believe that a single individual was involved in the murder of a Sarawakian couple on Friday, at a seafood processing factory in Penampang.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said initial investigations revealed there was no element of robbbery or break-in at the scene of the crime where two weapons were found.
He said the police were trying to determine if the weapons were used in the killings.
“We are viewing footage taken from a closed-circuit television camera in the area and have requested those with information on the case to facilitate police investigations,” he told reporters at a goodwill programme in Pulau Gaya near here today.
In the incident about 9.20am, a supervisor found the couple dead with stab wounds on the head at their room in the factory. — Bernama
