KUANTAN, Nov 9 — Two siblings were feared drowned while bathing at the Sungai Semantan near Temerloh this afternoon.
They have been identified as S. Siravani, 11, and his sister, Zulkadevi, 10.
According to Temerloh police chief ACP Aziz Salleh, the children were believed to have drowned about 2.30pm.
He said those who witnessed the incident alerted the police, adding that a search and rescue operation was in the midst of scouring the river to locate the siblings. — Bernama
