KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 — The High Court will decide on Aug 19 an injunction application by Kelantan Umno Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed in a civil suit, to prevent Datuk Husam Musa, PAS and three others from further defaming him over the issue of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGVH) shares.
Judge Datuk Nor Bee Ariffin set the date in chambers after hearing submissions on the inter-parte injunction from counsel Jeffrey John, representing Mustapa, and Azhana Mohd Khairuddin, for the five defendants.
John told reporters that the court had continued the interim injunction which was previously issued to Mustapa until the decision day on Aug 19.

In his statement of claim, Mustapa stated that Husam, on March 23 this year, during a political ceramah at the Machang Expo Site, Kelantan, had issued defamatory statements on him in connection with the FGVH shares.
