KUALA LUMPUR, October 29 – Elon Musk's US$44 billion (RM207.7 billion) acquisition of social media network Twitter began with the world's richest man firing chief executive Parag Agrawal, chief financial officer Ned Segal and legal affairs and policy chief Vijaya Gadde.
As rumours of more firings circulated on the social media platform yesterday, an unidentified duo of pranksters saw it an opportune moment for comic relief.
Videos of the two men carrying boxes standing near the entrance to Twitter’s San Francisco building, claiming to have been laid-off were reported by at least two major media outlets and whipped up a frenzy on the bird app.

The Verge confirmed that the name of one of the men, however, 'Rahul Ligma', did not exist in Twitter’s Slack or email system and there was no evidence of the employee existing on LinkedIn.
“Ligma” in fact, as the site pointed out, "is an internet hoax designed to elicit the tude response 'lick my balls' from people who are in on the joke."
