SINGAPORE, June 4 — Mak’s Noodle from Hong Kong is coming to Singapore, The Straits Times reported.

Often called the best wanton noodles in Hong Kong, its Singapore branch will open its doors at The Centrepoint at the end of June.

The business dates back to the 1960s, when wanton master Mak Woon-chi first brought the dish from Guangzhou to Hong Kong.

Mak Chi-ming, a third-generation descendant who now runs the business, claims that the recipe has remained unchanged since his grandfather’s time.

A signature of the restaurant is its small portions: traditional Cantonese-style dumplings tiny enough to fit on a teaspoon are crammed together with a bundle of noodles in a rice bowl.

Heck, if it’s good enough for the likes of former President of the Republic of China Chiang Kai-shek and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, it’s good enough for us!
