KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 — Releasing pigeons during one’s wedding might seem romantic.

But in producer Datuk A. Aida’s case, the aftermath has become a nightmare after the birds have refused to budge from her resort in Janda Baik after the ceremony.

Aida, or her real name Zaidah Awang, had bought 50 pigeons to be released during the wedding of her daughter Wan Az Aleesa last Saturday, mStar reported.

However, after the birds were released, they refused to fly away but lingered at the resort and started pooping at the property.

"My intention was to release them from being caged but instead of flying away, they decided to stay on. Now my resort is full of their poop,” she said, adding that the pigeons are now hanging around the roofing area.

Looking back, Aida was thankful she did not buy 100 birds as the seller only had 50 birds with him then.

"I could not imagine that there are 100 birds on top of my resort roof,” she added.

To counter the problem, Aida is now trying to catch the birds to be released elsewhere.

"I am looking for people to help me catch the birds. Whoever manages to catch them is considered theirs,” she said, adding that she could not look after the birds as there was no one to clear the poop left by the pigeons.
