MADRID, Aug 24 — The Spanish hotel and attraction park complex will end its summer season to launch the Halloween period starting September 26. For the occasion, an armada of zombies and other terrifying creatures straight out of the film "REC 4: Apocalypse" will take over the park grounds until November 15.

Decorated for Halloween, the park will be filled with pumpkins and witches to celebrate the holiday throughout the month of September. In the SésamoAventura space, kids will be able to try their hands at carving pumpkins, while the Mexican site will celebrate the traditional Day of the Dead.

The most sought-after attractions will also be redecorated for the occasion. The "Zone Mediterrania" lake will be the ideal site from which to set off fire and fireworks for the "Horror en el lago" show featuring a monstrous dragon. Vampires will steal all the attention in the Old Castle of Penance and fans of acrobatics will be able to choose between the "Rock Symphony" or "Bang Bang Halloween" shows.

Park attractions that make you the hero

The walking dead will be the stars of the park during this terrifying season in an attraction called "Pasaje REC".  Forty actors will re-enact scenes from the latest chapter of the Spanish film saga "REC." The troupe has studied in detail all the most frightening scenes of the movie to make it as real as possible, so visitors be warned. The show will be one of the park's highlights this fall.

For the more daring, feel your hearts race when confronting the chilling creatures that inhabit the "Selva de Miedo" Polynesian jungle. Finally, the "Horror of Penitence" labyrinth will give goosebumps to the most seasoned of visitors.

In the Mediterranean space, a Halloween parade will take place at the end of the day. The parade will showcase all that Halloween has to offer, from funeral cars to giant skeletons. — AFP-Relaxnews
