HO CHI MINH CITY, March 13 — The 11th Ho Chi Minh Tourism Festival 2015 will be held from March 26 to 29, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.
Deputy chairman of Municipal Department of Tourism La Quoc Khanh said around 40 travel agents, hotels and universities will showcase their services and products and promotional programmes at over 150 booths at the 23/9 Park.
The festival is themed “Impression of the World’s Heritage in Vietnam” and features replicas of national world heritage sites and performances of intangible cultural heritage such as Nha Nhac Cung Dinh (court music), Quan Ho (love songs) and Cong Chieng Tay Nguyen (Highland gongs).
The annual festival is expected to attract 300,000 visitors this year.
Vietnam is home to 22 world heritage sites including the Long Bay and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Hoi An ancient town and Trang An Landscape Complex. — Bernama
