SINGAPORE, April 9 ― Singapore Airlines’ regional wing SilkAir will soon begin flights to its eighth destination in China.
SilkAir will operate services to Hangzhou four times a week from June 27 subject to applicable approvals.
The new service will be operated using the airline’s Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft featuring both business and economy class cabins.
“The launch of services to Hangzhou reaffirms SilkAir’s commitment to continue to grow our network in China, which is one of our key markets,” SilkAir chief executive Leslie Thng said in a statement on Wednesday.
Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, is well-known for its breathtaking scenery and cultural sites.
SilkAir currently serves seven destinations in China ― Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Xiamen. ― Bernama
