DOHA, June 14 ― Tottenham's Son Heung-Min may have broken his arm during South Korea's World Cup qualifying defeat to Qatar yesterday.
Son left the field in obvious pain in the 33rd minute clutching his right forearm, which he appeared to hurt competing for an aerial challenge during his country's 3-2 defeat.
He was escorted down the tunnel by medical staff holding an ice pack on his arm.
South Korea coach Uli Stielike said after the game that English Premier League player may have suffered a fracture.
“We have to have a scan, it may be broken,” said Stielike. “It's not good.”
The 24-year winger has been in sparkling form, winning Premier League Player of the Month for April, the only player to win the award twice last season, and scoring 21 goals in all competition for Spurs. ― AFP
