KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 — Premier League high fliers Penang had to be satisfied with a 1-1 draw against DRB Hicom FC at the Hang Jebat stadium in Melaka last night.

The hosts took the lead in the 10th minute through Ahmad Aminuddin Shaharudin, but a 64th minute penalty converted by South Korean import Lee Kil-Hoon saved the visitors the blushes.

With the results, Penang now are in third place in the league with 15 points, five points adrift of leaders T-Team, who have played one match less.

Meanwhile, at the Tunku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi, NS Matrix edged Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) 2-1.

The goals were scored by Liberian import Forkey Doe in the 42nd minute and Haitian import Jean Alexandre in the 61st minute, while Argentinian Nicolas Delmonte scored for JDT II in the 44th minute.

The win helped NS Matrix move up three places, from eighth to fifth. — Bernama
