LOS ANGELES, April 13 — A month on from the release of his 2018 World Cup anthem Colors, Jason Derulo has unveiled an appropriately colourful video to go with it.

Colors is Coca-Cola’s theme song for the World Cup; upon its release last month, Derulo said of the song, “Through my years of travel, I’ve been able to see the beauty in our cultural differences and I wrote Colors to celebrate that diversity and be a part of the amazing energy that sports fans around the world give to their teams.”

The video is a similar celebration of diversity, represented through an array of national flags that are held above the performers and reflected below them. Derulo (whose real name is Jason Joel Desrouleaux), of Haitian descent, is joined briefly by Wyclef Jean in the clip, which finds Derulo performing in a variety of destinations.

The 2018 Fifa World Cup takes place in Russia from June 14 to July 15. Colors is the first of many likely World Cup songs to be released as the tournament nears; as Coca-Cola’s promotional anthem, it follows on from past hits such as 2010’s Wavin’ Flag by K’Naan. — AFP-Relaxnews
