SHANGHAI, Oct 7 — With less than 24 hours to go before what will arguably be China’s showbiz wedding of the year, news has emerged that Alibaba founder Jack Ma is to act as a witness at the nuptials of actors Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy.
The Straits Times reported today that China’s second richest man has been tapped to be a witness at the star-studded nuptials, which will be held at Shanghai Exhibition Centre tomorrow.
However, it seems that Ma will be only one of many VIPs on a guest list that is said to top 2,000 people.
Wang Sicong, son of China’s richest man, real estate mogul Wang Jianlin, will be a groomsman alongside actor Wu Jing, Taiwanese singer Edison Lin and classical piano star Li Yundi, who will be interrupting preparations for an upcoming concert in Warsaw to fly home for the wedding.
Actresses Li Bingbing and Ni Ni are among the bridesmaids, while Fan Bingbing and Vicky Zhao have also been invited.
The 37-year-old actor and 26-year-old actress officially registered their marriage in May, according to reports.
