KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 — Share prices on Bursa Malaysia end lower today on late selling ahead of the weekend, dragged down by losses in selected heavyweights.

The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 3.24 points to close at 1,873.38 points.

Among the actives, main market debutant 7-Eleven closed 15 sen better at RM1.53 with 202.15 million shares traded and Public Bank soared 98 sen to RM21.60 with 108.15 million shares changing hands.

Of the top losers, Hong Leong Financial fell 40 sen to RM15.40, Kuala Lumpur Kepong declined 32 sen to RM23.92, Maybank erased 10 sen to RM9.88, TNB eased eight sen to RM12.06 and CIMB decreased four sen to RM7.34.

Losers edged gainers by 442 to 370, with 310 counters unchanged, 498 untraded and 35 others were suspended.

Volume increased to 1.91 billion shares worth RM6.01 billion from 1.24 billion shares worth RM2.08 billion yesterday. — Bernama
