IPOH, June 27 — The Perak contingent police headquarters Criminal Investigation Department’s (CID) operations office at Jalan Iskandar caught fire at around 3.15pm today.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said firefighters received a call at 3.14pm and teams from two stations were sent to the location.
“The teams began putting out the fire upon their arrival and managed to get it under control by 3.45pm,” he said in a statement today, adding that the fire affected the CID’s office at the second floor, which suffered 40 per cent damage.
No casualties were reported, he added. — Bernama
