JOHOR BARU, April 14 — Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) chief Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin launched today the coalition’s manifesto for the May 9 polls.
Themed “Team Johor for a New Decade: Offers for the Future”, the manifesto encompasses five main initiatives with three goals that seek to raise the state’s position as the country’s southern economic power, business competition, and improving the welfare and increasing the wealth of Bangsa Johor.
There are 230 offers under five main thrusts for Johor in the manifesto. The five thrusts are for a prosperous economy, providing comprehensive infrastructure, the development of mind, talent and skills, high performance leadership and sustainable, Islamic and cultured society.
Mohamed Khaled, who is also the caretaker mentri besar, was accompanied by Johor BN deputy chairman Datuk Dr Abdul Latif Ahmad.
Also present were state BN component party leaders, Johor MCA chief Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, Johor MIC chief Datuk M Asojan, Johor Gerakan chief Datuk Tee Kok Chee, Johor MyPPP chief Datuk K Sivakumar and Johor Kimma chief Abdul Razak Abdul Kadir.
Earlier, more than 3,000 state BN members and supporters turned-up for the event held at the Persada International Convention Centre here.
