KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 — The government allocated RM250 million for the education of Malaysians who fall under its National Transformation (TN50) generation.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak who made the announcement while tabling Budget 2018 in Parliament today said the fund would be used to develop Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) centres and improve Computer Science modules.

He said RM190 million from the fund would be used to transform 2,000 classrooms into Smart Classrooms to improve creative and innovative learning while RM20 million will be channelled into the Cultural Economy Development Agency to improve the arts sector.
