KEPALA BATAS, May 27 — Police have smashed the Anas Gang active in committing robberies and car break-ins with the arrest of seven people in a raid here recently.
Seberang Perai Utara Police chief ACP Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said the seven arrested aged 16 to 22 years were believed to be active over the last six months.
“On May 18, police raided a house and arrested the gang members. They also found a sword, walkie-talkie, lubricants and stolen cigarettes.
“We also seized false registration plates, crash helmets, motorcycle rims and Smart tags worth over RM20,000,” he told a press conference here today.
Abdul Rahman said following the arrest, the police believed that they have solved more than 10 cases of robbery, burglary and car break-ins. — Bernama
