KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 — Whether you call it Diwali or Deepavali, this isn’t just a festive occasion that brings people together; it is also an opportunity to show off your style.
And stand out from the crowd.
So, if you’re searching for something one-of-a-kind this Deepavali, head to the “Diwali Essentials & More” exhibition at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur from Sept 30 to Oct 1.
The exhibition, curated by LuxuriAsia, will host some 50 vendors and 20 major brands from Dubai, Jakarta, Mumbai, Delhi, Singapore and Bangkok.
The fashion outfits which will be showcased at the exhibition are individual pieces that are uniquely flown down for the exhibition.
“We are not bringing doubles of anything. So, when you shop for outfits here, you will not bump into somebody else wearing the same dress as you do at a party,” LuxuriAsia founder Sherina Mahtani-Binwani told Malay Mail.
“The fusion pieces that we are showcasing bodes well not just with Indians — but also with people from various ethnicities — and can also be worn for other occasions besides Diwali,” she added.
The upcoming exhibition also marks Sherina’s first major exhibition since she returned to curating fashion exhibitions last year after nearly a decade.
Previously, she curated fashion exhibitions featuring pieces from some of India’s finest fashion designers such as Pallavi Jaikishan and Radhika Naik.
This time around, her exhibition goes beyond the must-have festive wears — encompassing a curated selection of decor, gourmet delights, accessories and gift-giving items which are useful additions for other occasions including Christmas and the New Year.
“Our goal is to create a refined platform where exclusivity meets cultural celebration, allowing guests to explore a world of luxury and discover treasures that are both local and global,” Sherina added.
The “Diwali Essentials & More” exhibition will take place from 10am to 6pm on Sept 30 and Oct 1 at Level 3, The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
